KREBS SWISS offers a Chlorine Gas Drying System which, compared with a conventional packed column system results in

substantially lower investment cost
substantially lower power consumption
substantially lower equipment cost
a very flexible operation due to a very high turn down ratio

The system consists of only two columns, the first of which is packed, followed by a column with specially designed and optimized high efficiency trays.

The system is proven for more than 20 years in chloralkali plants designed and supplied by KREBS SWISS.

Operating requirements for drying 1’000 kg Cl2 containing typically 0.7 to 1 % water to below 10 ppm (weight) are:

H2SO4 98 %	25 to 40	kg
Power	3	kW
cooling or chilled water	3	m3
